Do you want to provide companionship and bring joy to seniors in your community? Volunteer as a friendly visitor with SAHA! We are looking for volunteers to visit senior companions on a weekly or monthly basis to talk to them about their interests and help prevent social isolation. This is a wonderful opportunity to really make an impact in a senior’s life.

Requirements: Ongoing SAHA Community Volunteers must commit to volunteer once a week for a minimum of 4 months, and must complete a volunteer orientation, volunteer forms and background screening prior to beginning their placement.

Description
The purpose of the SAHA's Volunteer Program is to improve the quality of living and promote health and well-being for Satellite Housing's residents. Volunteers will help foster community by facilitating activities for the residents, such as exercise groups, art classes, discussion groups, providing health and wellness information, leading or participating in games, assisting with special events, etc. The residents really appreciate the effort that is put forth by the volunteers, and look forward to the weekly interactions.
