We are looking for a volunteer to assist us with compiling a referral guide for clients at each of our Reproductive and Sexual Health clinics in the region. The goal of the project is to conduct research on the web and via phone to update and add to the existing information we have on file for various referral sources that will be distributed to clients we serve. This is a great project for a student looking to gain experience at a health and human services non-profit, who has an interest in learning about the many services available in our local communities.
The referral guide will provide information for clients about the following services in their communities:
- Substance abuse treatment
- Mental Health services
- Domestic violence/sexual assault
- LGBTQ+ organizations
- Primary care providers
- Community health providers
- HIV treatment
- Breast health
- Legal aid
- Immigration/immigrant assistance
- Food pantries
- Housing assistance
- Health insurance assistance
- Suicide prevention
- Dental care
- Child care
- Young parents support groups
- WIC nutrition programs
We ask that a volunteer is able to commit 3-4 hours/week to this project, for a minimum of 3 months. To learn more, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Elissa May at emay@healthimperatives.org, or call 508-583-3005 ext. 1005.
