This is a chance to work on a community farm and learn about large scale vegeltable farming while experimenting with organic practices. The farm now also has piglets. This community project will turn into whatever we put into it, meaning the more help the better! We are open to creative ideas on how to expand our services.
Ideas for volunteer work include but are not limited to:
-prepping garden beds
-working in the greenhouse
-planting from starts or direct seeds
-harvesting crops
-helping us package up for donations and subscription boxes
-veggie inventory
-sell produce at a fruit stand
-work the farmers market
-help with growing and selling microgreens
-marketing/networking help with local businesses
-deliveries
-teach a workshop (art, cooking, gardening, permaculture, horticulture)
-run a field trip
These are some ideas to get us started. Please let us know if you can help with our 2018 garden and be a part of the Inwood Community Farm Family! <3

About Inwood Community Farm
Location:

Mission Statement
Inwood Community Farm’s (ICF) mission is to develop a sustainable, environmentally responsible farm system to produce high quality, fresh food at low or no cost to elderly and/or handicapped and other individuals in need.
Description
We strive to provide healthy food and education for the public in our surrounding communities. Our goal is to be able to grow seasonal produce, year round, to distribute to local food banks which in turn distribute to individuals in need as well as Shingletown Medical Center patients.
We offer the farm to be used as an educational space for schools, homeschool groups, organizations, and families. This is a community project which is here to be a place of learning through growing food and working toward a sustainable farm practice together as a group. We are open to ideas!
