Full Life Care operates two memory care homes that each house 12 residents with dementia or a neurocognitive disorder. Memory care homes are an alternative to an assisted living facility and allow residents to remain in a neighborhood setting in a home environment. We respect the individual routines of our residents and create activities that resonate with their life experiences. One resident may enjoy walking the neighborhood with our staff; another may like to sleep in, work in the garden, or help plan meals. Programs in this home setting are structured around the individuality of our residents and the relationships we build with them.
RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for volunteers who can assist us with providing activities. -- music, crafts, painting, reading books, etc. Be creative! We also welcome volunteers to bring pets, babies, & children to visit.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with elders with dementia and/or Alzheimer's or adults with disabilities is is preferred.
