Children's Cove Ambassadors are responsible for building and maintaining community relations, as well as serving as representatives of Children's Cove. Children's Cove Ambassadors will oversee all community connections they have facilitated and coordinate comprehensive communications that they have made on behalf of Children's Cove.
A few essential functions of being a Children's Cove Ambassador are:
- Understanding the Mission of Children's Cove
- Connect with Cove Staff and board to the issues, challenges, and opportunities that are unique to the community in which you reside and represent
- Attend local events (chamber meetings, non-profit fundraising events) as a representative of Children's Cove and distribute materials as appropriate
- Network in the local community to identify nonprofit organizations and other related important collaborators
- Be a source of information for potential collaborators
- Assist with Children's Cove events through volunteerism, workplace campaigning, verbal support, and/or sponsorship of events
- Provide input on community policies and operating procedures for program development
- Serve as a spokesperson in the community for Children's Cove and child abuse awareness
- Serve as a role model within your community

Our Mission: To provide coordinated and comprehensive multidisciplinary services to child victims of sexual abuse/serious physical abuse and their families.
Description
Children’s Cove provides a compassionate, efficient, child-friendly facility for child abuse intervention. Children and families journey through a streamlined process which reduces the chances that the children are re-traumatized and preserves the best evidence for investigators. Children’s Cove staff facilitates an under-one-roof collaboration of social and legal agencies to protect, treat and counsel child abuse victims and their families, and to investigate and prosecute the abusers.
