Our learning center needs someone who is good in Science and would be able to tutor one of our residents who is in a 3 month phlebotomy training program. The student is originally a refugee who came to the U.S. as a refugee from Afghanistan but became a U.S. citizen and can speak English fluently. The student is a hard worker and needs help in science and biology.

Mission Statement
The Paradise Shadows Neighborhood Network Center is an onite, multiservice technology center at the Paradise Shadows Apartments, a HUD community in north Phoenix. The center offers job-training, GED preparation, and ESL classes for the adults. The center also provides tutoring, mentoring, and educational afterschool activities for the youth. The purpose of the Network Center is to promote self-sufficiency and provide technology access to the residents of Paradise Shadows.
Description
The Paradise Shadows Network Center has 5 computers available to the residents. Several key volunteers from the business, education, and religious communities teach classes and mentor residents in various subjects designed to promote self-sufficiency among the residents.
