Time is our most precious gift. Share your gift of time with a hospice patient.

Time is limited yet of eternal value. What makes it so is how you use it and to whom you give it. Share your gift of time with a patient on their end-of-life journey. No special skills are needed - just a listening ear and an open heart. It will be some of the most rewarding time you'll ever spend.

Great Lakes Caring, a leading home health and hospice agency, is looking for Companion Volunteers in the Andover, N. Andover, Haverhill and Newburyport area who willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local patients and their families. As a Companion Volunteer you will visit patients in local nursing communities or their home and spend quality time with them playing cards/games, watching TV, reading, listening to music or simply chatting. There is no direct physical care involved.

Hours are flexible- weekdays, evening, and weekends. Typically we ask that you visit your assigned patient 1-2 hours per week.

For additional information please contact June Richardson, Volunteer Coordinator, at 978-273-4739 or by email at Jurichardson@greatlakescaring.com.
