Recycling Trees

The City of Austin has been recycling Christmas trees for over thirty years.

Every year community members (young and old) come out to participate and volunteer in this event.

This year we need your help unloading and taking tinsels off trees as they are dropped off at Zilker park to help form a mountain of memories to be recycled.

The trees will eventually be turned into FREE mulch and given back to the community. Please come out and share in the fun.

We will provide the morning coffee, hot chocolate, snacks and a '2017 Christmas Tree Recycling’ souvenir t-shirt.
