Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Fight For Air Climb on Saturday, March 10! Milwaukee holds the #1 Climb in the Nation with over 3,500 participants and 400 volunteers which makes the Fight For Air Climb a very exciting event to be a part of.
To give you a little more information about our event, the Fight for Air Climb is a vertical stair climb in the U.S. Bank Center. One aspect that makes this event in more unique is we have over 250 of Wisconsin’s firefighters climb the tour in full firefighting gear. Funds raised at this event support the American Lung Association's clean air initiatives, vital programs and research in the fight against lung cancer, asthma, emphysema and other lung diseases.
Volunteers are asked to help during at least one entire volunteer shift. Event shifts are Saturday, March 10 from 6-11:30 a.m. or 11 a.m.-3 p.m. A few of the volunteer tasks include: replenishing the water stations, registration, greeters, gear check and passing out food/beverages. We ask that all volunteers are willing to stand for a majority of the volunteer shift as this is a fast pace event with little time to sit. I’ve attached our volunteer flyer with more information.
