Role description

Semarang is a capital and largest city of the province of Central Java. It's also located near one of the most beautiful islands in Central Java, Karimun Jawa. As time goes by, the uncontrolled urbanization causing so many issues, one of them is environment issue. Reform Project aims to increase the awareness of responsible to protect the environment among Semarang citizen by urban-farming & urban-environment implementation. Through activities that engage Semarang citizen & community members

Main activities

• You will be trained on current urban-farming systems and waste management practices.
• You'll developing slum area in Semarang to increase environment quality by urban-farming system.
• You'll clean up river, beach & planting mangrove.
• You will participate and showcase your cultural performance in Global Village.
• You will participate in a 2-day Live-In and join the activities with the villagers.

• You will give education about the environment culture in your country to junior high school students.

Timeline

• Application deadline : 30 Des 2017
• Project start date : 13 Jan 2018
• Project end date : 25 Feb 2018
• Project duration : 6 Weeks

• Sign up in https://aiesec.org/
• Find the AIESEC Local Committee which near with your location (we provide help by contact us via email and number to help you find it).
• Register as applicant for Global Volunteer Program.
• Follow the registration process, and pay the register fee.
• After accepted, find the AIESEC UNDIP program, choose UPreneur Project.
• Do the selection procedures (interview, etc.) with us (AIESEC UNDIP).
• Then finally, join with the project and create good impact.
