ORGANIZATION: Conservation Trust for North Carolina

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 1 person is interested

Come out to enjoy a beautiful Saturday on the farm and meet others in our community! We'll be doing tasks to help maintain the farm so it stays beautiful and functional for our educational programming. We'll have water, gloves and tools; just bring a refillable water bottle, snacks, comfortable clothes that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, and be ready to work!

Durham Public Schools requires that all non-student volunteers complete an online application prior to working on the farm. You can find the application here: https://ec.volunteernow.com/recruiter/index.php?class=VolunteerRegistration&recruiterID=1343

In the case of inclement weather or too few volunteers , the workday will be cancelled. All volunteers will be notified prior to the event.

Description

For more than 25 years, the Conservation Trust for North Carolina (CTNC) has helped save the places you love including streams, forests, farms, scenic vistas, wildlife habitat, parks, and trails. CTNC works with local land trusts, landowners, communities, and government agencies to protect natural areas and open spaces, so that all North Carolinians can enjoy safe drinking water, clean air, fresh local foods, and recreational opportunities, for generations to come. CTNC is the host organization for AmeriCorps, a ten-month national service program in environmental education and outreach.
