OPPORTUNITY #1
The NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program is looking for company representatives in health, wellness, food preparation, and meal delivery services that conduct cooking demonstrations for children and seniors suffering from health disparities (obesity, diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc.)

Through a partnership with Infusion Blends, LLC -- a local, small artisan butter business -- and the Fulton Schools College and Career Academy Culinary School, students will need help coordinating taste tests to demonstrate how butter is made, the health benefits of Infusion Blend butters, and how the unique artisan butter blends can give consumers with diet restrictions healthier, tastier options.

OPPORTUNITY #2
Students can earn earn community service hours and the following badges by helping Infusion Blends setup and manage their kiosk at the Buford Highway Farmer's Market. This bustling marketplace is a great way for students to increase their STEM++ skills and gain real workforce experience in:

  • Professional Sales - Projects that convince businesses or individual consumers to purchase goods and services. Apply
  • Merchandising - Projects related to getting products into the hands of customers, including forecasting, planning, buying, displaying, selling and providing customer service. Apply
  • Marketing Communications - Projects that plan, coordinate and implement marketing strategies, advertising, promotion and public relations activities. Apply
  • Logistics Planning & Management Services - Projects that involve the planning, management and control of the physical distribution of materials, products, and people. Apply

Dates: Every Saturday & Sunday

Times:
Saturday - 10:00am to 4:30pm; Arrive by 9:30am to set up (Two 4 hour shifts)
Sunday - 1:00pm to 4:30pm; Arrive by 12:30pm to set up (One 4 hour shift)

In order to reduce the negative impact of poverty, The NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program created The Community On Demand STEAM Education & Life Skills Development Game to help disenfranchised individuals develop the life & high-demand STEAM skills needed to create, secure and retain employment and career-building opportunities located within their local communities.

Imagine a learning management system that uses STEAM education, financial literacy, blockchain technology, entertainment and entrepreneurship to reduce the negative impact of poverty.

The Community On Demand STEAM Education & Life Skills Development Game is a veteran led, STEAM edtech transitional training and staffing solutions platform whose collective impact initiatives create community involvement growth strategies that maximize engagement, generate wealth, and strengthens STEAM skills in order to build sustainable, purpose-built communities.

We focus on five key achievement domains to help communities benefit from the impact solutions that Community On Demand helps learners create as they address, reduce and/or eliminate the socio-economic conditions negatively impacting their communities:
