Come out to the Nisqually Land Trust's Red Salmon Creek protected area for a morning of pulling English ivy!

The Land Trust and many partners have worked together here to control invasive species and plant over 17 acres of native trees and shrubs, some of which are over 15 feet tall today. By pulling invasive ivy, we will help these and other native plants continue to grow and thrive.

The Nisqually Land Trust acquires and manages critical lands to permanently benefit the water, wildlife, and people of the Nisqually River Watershed.

Description

The Nisqually Land Trust is a non-profit organization that acquires, maintains, and restores important lands along the Nisqually River to viable habitat for salmon and other wildlife.

It was established in 1989 to protect wildlife habitat threatened by the consequences of rapid population growth. Today it conserves and restores over 5,000 acres throughout the Nisqually River watershed.
