We are looking for a talented individual who has great videography and editing skills to volunteer with us as we embark on two important marketing activities.

The candidate will support the SoulDeevas and the 1City Academy, two groups that serve young people in both New York and New Jersey. The SoulDeevas are a majorette, dance and step team company and 1City includes an array of sports and arts that will serve kids in grades 5 to 12. 1City is a "resurrection" of a program that served 3000 kids in Brooklyn for more than 20 years, and although we've got great pictures, we don't have a lot of video that would help us tell the 1City story in a compelling way. We don't want to make the same mistakes twice, particularly as we are seeking to open both programs very soon.

The candidate would attend some of our events as possible and capture them on camera and then edit them in such a way that they tell a story. We would then post those videos to our website and social media platforms. These events could include performances, community service projects, and practices. They could also include interviews with children and parents who were impacted by 1City.

Hard to say how long we would need this person to be engaged, but the schedule will be extremely flexible. We will flesh out what we need once we find the right candidate. Desirably, the person would communicate well by email. Candidates who are willing to commute to Rahway, NJ (in addition to NYC) have a strong advantage.
