Becoming a Doors to Hope Volunteer! Interested in teaching? Do you want to push the new generation to build a better future? Do you like working in a multicultural environment? Doors to Hope, a ministry of the Sister of Charity of Nazareth, is an organization dedicated to open learning opportunities, encourages community involvement, and engages in advocacy for immigrant women and families. We are currently seeking committed volunteers to assist with After School Tutoring for youth ranging from K-12th grade, with the majority being in Elementary and Middle school. Tutors will be helping students who speak English as their second language assisting in homework, as well as reading and writing skills. The program is Monday -Thursday from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. We are located at 4333 Hazelwood Avenue, Louisville, KY 40215. Description

The goal of Doors to Hope is to provide educational opportunities to the people of the south-central area of Louisville. Doors to Hope is a congregational ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.

Doors to Hope provides educational services to Hispanic/Latino immigrant women and children. Founded in 2012, Doors to Hope serves Louisville’s immigrant population in a variety of ways including ESL classes, after school tutoring, GED mentoring, computer access, and women’s group services.
