Duties Board Members
Board members are expected to serve as a public relations arm of the Suicide Prevention Center, Inc. and a liaison to the general community. A board member's primary responsibility is to raise funds and to make sure that funds are available to fulfill the annual budget requirements. Board members are expected to support any program, special event or fundraising event that benefits the Suicide Prevention Center, Inc.
Meetings are held monthly with the day and time selected by the officers. Special meetings may be called at any time by the chairperson or by a consensus of the general membership.
Members must serve a two year term. A member may continue to serve for as many terms as they desire as long as they remain a member in good standing.

Mission Statement To save lives threatened by suicide by offering a 24-hour crisis hotline and support groups; to foster prevention of suicide by offering specialized training programs and programs for school children; and to encourage community involvement in suicide prevention efforts to affect change.
Description
Services Provided
We provide the following help in the area of suicide prevention:
24-hour crisis hotline manned by trained volunteers.
24-hour pet loss support line for those grieving the loss of their pet or the
impending loss of a pet.
Three local support groups:
Survivors of Suicide for those grieving a suicide death.
Other Passages for those who are depressed or suicidal.
Other Passages for adolescents for those ages 13-17 who are depressed or suicidal.
This program is for all schools, both public and private, and for students in grades K through 12.
Speakers Bureau
For groups and organizations desiring to learn more about suicide and its
prevention.
International Clearinghouse
Resource materials and information on all aspects of suicide and its prevention are available.
Training
Available for police/fire/EMS, medical personnel, school personnel, business
personnel, religious and all faith-based personnel, prison personnel, hostage negotiators and others.
