As our society becomes increasingly diverse culturally, we need a new model of social integration. One that allows people from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds to come together as Americans while retaining our unique cultural identity. Sangam Arts believes that the performing arts offer an excellent platform for connecting cultures - to help us see our common humanity while allowing us to celebrate and cherish our differences. By providing opportunities for artists of diverse traditions from Folklorico and Tap to Kathak and Hula to interact and collaborate, Sangam Arts promotes greater multicultural understanding.
