Support the growth and healing of children impacted by domestic violence. Volunteers work alongside our child care specialists in our crisis shelter's Child Development Center (CDC). Plan activities, bring crafts, or simply play with our littlest residents.
Note: the number of children residing at shelter fluctuates frequently. Although we request a 6-month commitment, there will be occasions when no children will be at the shelter. We will inform you in advance when this happens.
This role requires a Level One Fingerprint Clearance card as mandated by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Chrysalis cannot reimburse volunteers for the cost of the card.

Description
For over 30 years, Chrysalis has been serving the needs of women, children and men who are trying to break the cycle of domestic violence and abuse. Chrysalis offers a 24-hour crisis shelter, transitional housing, outpatient counseling, victim advocacy, offender treatment, and community outreach and education.
Guided by Chrysalis programs and its staff, clients are equipped with the knowledge and skills to initiate positive changes in their lives and break away from verbal, physical, emotional, financial, and sexual abuse.
Chrysalis supports more than 1,400 individuals each year in its various programs. Volunteers are critical to sustaining the critical services offered at Chrysalis.
