Middle & High School Events
Judges needed for build events

Science Olympiad is a national competition for middle and high school students that cover many STEM fields. 46 events will be running for the Oregon State Tournament.

Volunteers are needed for Event Supervisors, or judges, especially for the build events. This involves evaluating students' built items according to specific criteria, then scoring them as they compete in a race, flight, or other tests. I do also have some openings for knowledge and lab events, which would require more prep beforehand, but less time on the day of. The event runs all day on Saturday, April 14th at OSU. It is across several buildings on campus. The time commitment is 4-8 hours depending on which event. After students compete, volunteers tally the scores and submit these so we can award medals to the students.

For questions, contact Sheryl Sargent, sargents@nclack.k12.or.us. More event details can be found at soinc.org
