When: Saturday, March 1st, 9am-12pm

Where: LOCATION TBD

What: You are invited to join our Community Science Program for monitoring the charismatic and rare cactus wrens in our preserves. This will be an annual program to track the birds, their nests, and their success in rearing babies.

The monitoring begins in March and last through August. 16 years and up, unless accompanied by a parent/guardian. Thank you for volunteering your time to monitor this important keystone species!

The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) is to "preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all."

Description

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) manages over 1600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and two nature centers with native plant demonstration gardens. The PVPLC engages volunteers in the development and maintenance of native plant gardens in order to demonstrate how gardening with native plants is beneficial for the environment.   • Must be at least 16
  • Orientation or Training
