River City Advocacy & Counseling Center focuses on the overall well-being of individuals in our community. We focus heavily on mental-health, but work toward helping the individual become happy, successful, and well-rounded.
We are currently looking for professionals in their field to come to RCA to teach, lead, and inspire classes, clubs, and growth.
Have something you're passionate about that you'd like to share with people? Have something you're good at and want to inspire others?
We are hoping to have Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter classes available for our clients. Once a week classes, or every other week would be amazing, but we are open to other things!
Subjects we think could be successful for our organization:
*Walking Club (we're in walking distance to Landa Park)
*Gardening Club (we have areas on the property to landscape, and potentially have a space for a raised-bed garden)
*Mediation/Mindfulness Class
*Art Class (we already have a painting class, so we'd be looking for something with other mediums)
*Life Skills classes - resume building, computer classes, etc.

Description
River City Advocacy & Counseling Center is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization in New Braunfels, Texas that provides mental health services to the residents of Comal County and surrounding areas.
We were founded as a place for those who experience mental illness to support one another in their recovery. In keeping with RCA’s founding purpose as a place of refuge and community, we offer peer support services in addition to professional mental health counseling.
As advocates for mental health care, we also work to reduce mental health stigma where it exists. At the core of our vision is our advocacy for mental health programs which are empowering and responsive to the needs of individuals and families in our community.
