During summer 2018, EMM Charities will begin a program geared at training 8-11 grade students to improve their critical thinking and communication skills. The overall goal is to prepare students for college and career. We are in need of middle and high school student volunteers to bring their enthusiasm and contribute their thoughts about education. Our desire is to create an authentic program for your peers.

What will I have to do? You will be asked to review a PowerPoint document with learning situation questions. Don't worry, there are no right or wrong answers. In return for your time, we will gladly provide you with a record of volunteer hours.

We look forward to meeting you!

Mission Statement

Our goal is to provide free remedial tutoring math and English tutoring to school-age children and first generation college and university students in Dallas, Denton and Collin counties.

Description

Access! was founded on the basis that all children, regardless of their socioeconomic background, should have access to resources beyond the classroom to build their understanding of English and math. Our tutors possess education backgrounds in the subjects they tutor. For higher education students, Gen 1 students possess harder changes to receiving a degree. We help these students transition from public school education to college education. The director is a former NCAA student-athlete tutor.
