ORGANIZATION: Junior Achievement of Northern Nevada

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Junior Achievement of Northern Nevada uses hands-on experience to help young people understand the business of life. In partnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential and preparing them for the world of work.

Junior Achievement make school relevant and fun, which means kids are more likely to become contributing, successful members of their communities. As volunteers share their real-world experiences and present JA materials, it helps kids bridge the gap between what they learn in school and what they can expect in the world of work.

We are looking for volunteers that can donate a day to teach our financial literacy to the school children in our rural community in Minden, Nevada. Orientation, training and a background check is required prior to the event. The orientation and training would take approximately one hour and the volunteer day of teaching would be a 7:30 am to 3:30 pm schedule with lunch and breaks. Lunch will be provided.

This is a great opportunity for college students, Bank employees or any professionals that want to inspire young children to compete in a global market.
