ORGANIZATION: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties

  • 2 people are interested

Whether you have one hour once per week OR have 4-6 hours per month, we have a volunteer opportunity for you!

Come and join us for an introduction to mentoring with Big Brothers Big Sisters. You've probably been thinking about becoming a mentor, know someone who mentors or have seen our commercials over the years. During this orientation, you will hear about us, the two types of programs we have, about how we support our families and mentors, and how to get started. If you are interested in mentoring, there will be a limited amount of interviewers on site to continue the enrollment process or you can schedule it for a later time. If you decide you will not be able to mentor right now, we are glad you could visit us! All participants will enjoy breakfast and gift for attending.

Age requirements: Adults and high school students are welcome.

Time Commitments: One hour once per week for school mentoring OR 4-6 hours per month for mentoring in the community (adults only)

High school students and college students can earn service hours for orientation as well as for mentoring.

You can also visit http://www.mentorbig.org/volunteer/ for mentor information. Would you like us to speak to your group, employees or students about becoming mentors? Send us an email info@mentorbig.org.
