We would love to have you volunteer at our MDA Muscle Walk of Twin Cities!

When you sign up - please provide your t-shirt size. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt for volunteering!

Volunteer Opportunities:

Walk Set Up: 7:00 am - 9:00 am
-Helping to set up tables, chairs, walk signs, etc.

Registration: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
-Registration of teams and participants

Face Painter: 8:45 am - 11:00 am
-Painting faces during event - MDA to provide supplies if needed!

T-Shirt Table: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
-Handing out t-shirts to participants

Walk or Event Guides: 8:45 am - 12:00 pm
-Directing participants to event locations and during the walk course

Walk Tear Down: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
-Helping to tear down tables, chairs, walk signs, clean up trash, etc.

Mission Statement

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health agency- a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans. MDA combats neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive medical and community services and far-reaching professional and public health education. With national headquarters in Tucson, MDA has more than 200 offices across the country, sponsors 230 hospital- affiliated clinics and supports nearly 400 research projects around the world.

Description

Every month, MDA in the Twin Cities hosts events to help raise money for children, families and individuals suffering from MD. The money raised goes to sending youth with neuromuscular disease to camp for a week in the summer - at no cost to their families, help pay medical bills, run support groups and fund research on the 43 diseases.
