At Grady, we believe family and friends play an important role in the healing process. We want to ensure that not only our patients but our visitors are supported during their visit. To make that happen, Grady started a program where warm cookies are served to the friends and family members of our surgical patients. Ideal candidates for this volunteer assignment enjoy baking, and are comfortable with walking for extended periods.

Time Commitment: Weekly three-hour shifts between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Description
Grady Health System is looking to utilize volunteers to assist at our Information Desk with wheelchair transport and way-finding throughout the hospital as well as with baking and serving warm cookies to the friends and family of our surgical patients.
