Road to Recovery volunteer driving requires no special skills or education - just a safe driving record, a valid driver’s license, some free time, a vehicle in good working condition, and the desire to help. Training sessions, maps, and directions are provided to those who volunteer their time.
This volunteer opportunity is designed to be easy and stress-free for both patients and volunteers. We’re flexible! Let us know when you can help and we’ll match a volunteer opportunity to fit your schedule. Cancer treatment appointments typically take place on weekdays, primarily during business hours
This opportunity is not specifically transporting patients to Foster J Boyd Cancer Center, but many of the requests received are for cancer patients in this community. Volunteers can specify a certain area willing to transport the patient within or outside of Clinton/Highland Counties.
