Equal Heart re-distributes overstock from local food retailers and fresh produce from the North Texas Food Bank, directly to individuals, families, and seniors at their apartment complexes. Our goal is to fight hunger by packaging and distributing nutritious grocery boxes to families in need. Feeding 13,000+ people each month takes work and we need your help!
Help us carry 30-50 lb grocery boxes M-F from 1:00-3:30pm for our families, elderly and disabled clients. Addresses will vary from numerous apartments throughout Irving, Grand Prairie, S Dallas, N Dallas, E Dallas, and Garland.
Volunteers must:
*be able to lift at least 30 lbs
*be able to transport self to apartments- will depart from Equal Heart warehouse while following the AmeriCorps team.

Description
We deliver federally funded meals free of charge to children at after-school and summer sites throughout the country. In Dallas, TX, we also provide nutritious food to families year round with our Mobile Food Access Network. Additionally, we engage and empower individuals to facilitate our programs through AmeriCorps.
