Toy Shop Elf

Are you jolly, courteous, a good listener, kind, but also stern when you need to be?
Can you work one on one with another person helping them pick out toys for their family, moving them along when they need to be encouraged to?
Are you over 16, able to lift and carry 40 pounds unassisted?

Then come be a Toy Shop Elf with The Salvation Army!

Every year The Salvation Army in Midland hosts a Toys Shop for families who qualify through our Christmas Assistance program and who are not adopted through Adopt A Family. These families come to "shop" free of charge for their children 17 years and younger. As an elf, it will be your job to help them pick out toys for their children, keep them moving along, carry the toys, and help them pack their car. We are looking for jolly people to help facilitate a happy environment, keep the spirit alive, remind the families what Christmas is about, and mitigate any ill feelings surrounding not finding the "perfect" gift.

Please include why you would like to help or what you could specifically contribute to our program when replying to us. We would appreciate it!
