DiscoveryFEST is putting together an Outreach Event Team! Throughout the year, DiscoveryFEST attends many different types of events around this wonderful city to showcase our programs, to recruit volunteers and to develop a strong support base! At these events, we typically set up a table with our information and sign-up sheets along with a few activities from our original curriculum. These events do get crowded, so while our Executive Director, Sean Tate, and I talk to potential DiscoveryFEST supporters, we need energetic volunteers running our activities! That is where volunteers come in! By joining our Outreach Event Team, you’ll be put into a group that is made aware of upcoming events. You do not need to attend every event! We’ll email the group at least two weeks in advance and see who is available. Some of the events we have attended in the past are Sealabration!, Boo at the Zoo, and Lakeside Mall Snack, Sip and Shop! We can sign off on service hours and write letters of recommendation after your service is complete! You do not need to have any prior experience. It may be helpful to be comfortable instructing and working with children.
This opportunity is for the New Orleans Mini Maker Faire 2018 happening on Saturday, April 21st.

Mission Statement
DiscoveryFEST Enrichment Program aims to make the hours of a child’s day rich with play, learning, and discovery through afterschool enrichment, recess, and summer camp programs.
