The Blue Heron Nature Preserve is looking for motivated volunteers who are passionate about protecting and preserving our precious urban greenspaces in Atlanta, GA. Ideally we would like volunteers to come out on a weekly basis to remove invasive plant species around the Preserve. Each volunteer will "adopt" a specific area of the Preserve to focus on for continued maintenance.
Removal will mostly involve hand-pulling, lopping, and some digging.
All help is appreciated!

The Blue Heron Nature Preserve 501(c)(3) is a nonprofit organization which manages a 30-acre greenspace located in north Atlanta in partnership with the City of Atlanta Parks Department. The Preserve was founded in 2000 with the vision of being a haven for nature in an urban environment. Our mission is to create a personal experience in nature for everyone through engagement, preservation, education, research and advocacy.
