The City of Peoria is looking for volunteer youth flag football coaches for the upcoming fall season! As a volunteer sports coach, you'll have the opportunity to be a positive role model for our youth while teaching sportsmanship, football skills, and teamwork.
Peoria sports leagues are a recreational, non-competitive setting with equal playing time. Coaches are required to attend 1 practice and 1 game per week for 8 week season. The practice location and day can be chosen by the coach (Mon.-Thurs. evenings only).
As a coach, you'll receive:
- Volunteer coach T-shirt
- Reserved practice space with lights
- Practice equipment
- Resources such as practice plans, line up sheets, drills, etc.
- Coaching credit for future season.
Season Info:
- Coaches meeting will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Rio Vista Recreation Center (8866-A W. Thunderbird Road, Peoria, AZ 85381).
- Practices start week of Sept. 17th.
- Games are on Saturdays at Paseo Verde Park (Game times range from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.).
Requirements:
- Ages 18+
- Complete coach application
- Complete online background check
- Fingerprints
- Attend coach meeting (Sept. 6th)

The City of Peoria Youth Sports Division relies on volunteer coaches in order to have a successful program. Our volunteer coaches act as leaders and mentors for the youth in the Peoria community.
