Community Engagement Volunteer

BMA volunteers represent the Museum at various community events and after-school programs with guidance from the Manager of Youth and Family Programs. Duties will include preparing art supplies, loading supplies at the Museum and transporting to events, facilitating art activities, providing information about museum programs and exhibitions, and returning art supplies to the Museum.Special skills and requirements: strong communication skills, highly organized, comfortable leading art activities, must be able to lift 25lbs, valid driver’s license and transportation to offsite events
Volunteering at the BMA is a great way to meet people with similar interests, give back to your Museum and community, and learn about art! Beyond these benefits, volunteers who sign up for a minimum of 2 shifts a month for 6 months receive a free six month membership to the Museum. As a member, you will receive the Member Magazine, discounts in the store and cafe, free admission or discounted admission to Museum events and studio classes.
