Information Desk volunteers greet visitors at the Museum entrance, provide maps and general information, tell visitors about the smartguide (digital guide to the collection), and occasionally conduct surveys. Shifts are 10am-1pm or 1-4pm Tuesday through Saturday. 1-4pm on Sunday. Special skills and requirements: excellent customer service skills, friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and comfortable with the basics of operating an iPad.
Volunteering at the BMA is a great way to meet people with similar interests, give back to your Museum and community, and learn about art! Beyond these benefits, volunteers who sign up for a minimum of 12 shifts per year receive a free six month membership to the Museum. As a member, you will receive the Member Magazine, discounts in the store and cafe, free admission or discounted admission to Museum events and studio classes.
