We are seeking for native Spanish speaking volunteers to teach Language Arts in Spanish at the Centro Hispano Marista. The main focus is to teach the students how to wirite an essay and improve their reading comprehension skills.
You do not need to be an educator to teach at the Centro. Our teachers are all wonderful volunteers that come from very different backgrounds. What they all have in common is a heart for teaching and a desire to help the less fortunate improve their future through education.
Books, syllabus and training are provided. Classes are every Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, at Marist School in Atlanta, Ga. Classes start on Tuesday February 6th for the Spring semester and run through May 8th. There will be a new teacher training workshop on January 23rd and January 25th from 7 to 9 pm at Marist School.
The mission of Centro Hispano Marista is to prepare our students, mostly young Hispanic adults, to complete the GED program and obtain their diploma.
We would love to have you join our team and together make a difference!
