Mission Statement
The FIRST Robotics Competition combines the excitement and camaraderie of sports with the rigor and precision of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). In 6 weeks known as Build Season, students design, manufacture, wire, and program their own robot to complete certain tasks in front of thousands at that year’s competitions. This is the closest to real-world engineering a student could possibly get, and involvement in FIRST prepares students for the future.
Description
Team 4 ELEMENT is a robotics team out of High Tech Los Angeles, a charter high school in Van Nuys, California. We participate in FIRST (r) (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), an international robotics league with competitions and teams in over 88 countries. Our robotics program empowers team members by giving them the opportunity to participate in competitions, and along the way, team members are equipped with skills to be confident, professional, collaborative, and innovative leaders.
