Volunteering is a great way to experience all that the Museum of Russian Art has to offer, while supporting us in our mission to engage, enlighten, and educate through the art of Russia. There are a range of opportunities available to you to suit your interests, and our volunteers receive a host of great benefits:
Reception Desk
-Greet visitors and collect admission fees as appropriate
-Provide first level phone coverage for in-bound calls
-Offer general information, membership information, and exhibition brochures
-Provide general directions throughout the building
Museum Gift Store
-Entice customers with beautiful products from Russia
-Assist customers by ringing sales
-Merchandising the store with an elegant and fresh look
Docent
-Serve as a knowledgeable host to groups of museum visitors
(Currently only seeking prospective docents who are able to give tours to children and/or in Russian)

Mission Statement
Since 2002, The Museum of Russian Art (TMORA) has served as the Twin Cities’ window to Russian art, history, and culture. Our mission: Education, Enlightenment and Engagement through the Art of Russia. It is a member-supported 501(c)3 non-profit since 2005, we are dedicated to introducing museum goers to various Russian art, history, and culture.
Description
Through the universal language of art, visitors to TMORA explore new and unique perspectives on Russia, a country with a recorded history that spans over one thousand years. Recognizing the importance of educating current and future generations about Russian art and related cultures, TMORA’s exhibitions are designed to provide our guests with an opportunity to examine important artistic achievements and historical events through the works of the region’s most esteemed artists.
Housed in a beautifully renovated historic building, the Museum’s multi-level galleries provide a tranquil and intimate setting for TMORA’s exhibitions and educational events. We look forward to welcoming you to The Museum of Russian Art, a cultural venue like no other.
