This position is one of customer service through greeting and assisting patients, visitors, and families by rounding and following up on how the patient’s stay is going or could be improved while in their hospital room. The volunteer enters the patient's room if allowed and goes over some basic information that may have been missed upon arrival/admissions. The volunteer goes over the inpatient packets, the menu, the call button and placement and any other information the patient/family feels might have been lost in the admittance process. The volunteer's role is to make sure the patient's stay is up to the patient's experience and satisfaction.
