The NY Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) works empower seniors so that they can protect themselves against healthcare fraud, learn to detect errors on their medical statements and report Medicare abuse when suspected.
With so many scams targeting seniors, volunteers have the unique opportunity to help stop healthcare fraud at the source! The NY Senior Medicare Patrol hosts sessions to teach seniors a variety of tips to ensure their healthcare benefits are safe & personal information is secure from scammers.
What would a volunteer do?
Senior Medicare Patrol volunteers will give education sessions to various audiences of Medicare beneficiaries, & caregivers about Medicare & Medicaid fraud/abuse. Sessions are hosted all throughout Westchester county.
No prior healthcare education? No problem! New York Senior Medicare Patrol will provide comprehensive training to interested volunteers.
2018 Upcoming Training: Wednesday, February 7 & Thursday, February 8 at Riverfront Public Library. Register NOW!
