Festival of Colors is looking for a self-starting polymath to fill a part time position. Candidate must have experience with graphic design, a knowledge of website construction, a good understanding of computers, and the ability to wear many different hats. The ideal candidate would be a patient visionary who can help identify opportunities for the event to grow as well as see these ideas through to completion. Candidate would also be in the position to bounce ideas off of the Director and vice versa. A strong knowledge of grammar and the English language is preferred.

Holi is a festival that originated in India and celebrates the victory of good over evil. Holi, in its Western incarnation, started two decades ago in Spanish Fork, Utah at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple and has grown to over 10 locations in the western United States. Called
"The World's Happiest Transformational Event," it embraces a drug-free, alcohol-free lifestyle that includes consciousness and mindfulness. It is the largest festival of its kind in North America.

Job Duties and Description:
Assist the Festival of Colors Director
Respond to e-mail inquiries related to Festival of Colors
Develop Festival of Colors graphics for posters, flyers, social media, etc.
Write copy as needed
Manage and update the Festival of Colors website
Take on a leadership role during the Festival of Colors events
Assist in making event run smoothly
Assist in developing and running community programming for the festival
Research similar festivals to understand their programming
Maintain a "vision board" of potential opportunities for Festival of Colors
Plus other duties as needed, not described

Technical Skills Desired:

Firm knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
Familiarity with Wordpress
Ability to use both a Mac and a PC
Ability to multitask
Good on the Phone to Prospective Vendors and Sponsors
Good driver and Willingness to travel
