Ball 2018

Backing the Blue Line is a non-profit organization made up of women in long-term relationships with MN law enforcement officers and their families. Support ranges from snacks during long shifts to meal trains when families are in need and making and providing blue roses at officer’s funerals - and so much more.

The Blue Line Ball is BtBL’s annual fundraiser held in the Twin Cities for all MN law enforcement officers and their significant others as well as all supporters of the blue line. This event generates almost 75% of our annual income in order to provide support to MN LEOs and their families.

We are looking for a small team of photographers who are interested in gifting us with your talents. From early set-up through evening activities, you would be responsible for capturing all the moments.

Event details:
May 19, 2018 in Minneapolis
Pre-event starts at 12pm
Event runs 3pm-12am (would not need to stay all night)

We ask you provide us with the flash drive/disc of photos that can be printed and given to BtBL.
We’re flexible with availability during the day.

Mission Statement

Backing the Blue Line unites the power of members and generosity of donors to honor and support Minnesota Law Enforcement officers, wives and families; We mobilize to provide services, labor and assistance during times of illness or work-related incidents.

Description

Backing the Blue Line is a locally founded 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Minnesota dedicated to supporting law enforcement wives*. Law enforcement families live a unique lifestyle. Jennifer Whiteford, the founder of the group, recognized a need for wives to be able to share their experiences with each other.

The group offers a forum for law enforcement wives to find and provide hope and support for each other through friendships, networking, discussion, and service. Current committees include: Family Support, Fallen Officer Memorial Rose, Social Events, Community Engagement, Blue Line Ball, Membership, Merchandise, Volunteers and Marketing. We support the Minnesota law enforcement community by providing resources and emotional support to law enforcement officers and their families, and serving as a positive voice in the community. Together, we are backing those who represent the thin blue line.
