WomenSV’s mission is to empower survivors, train providers and educate the community to break the cycle of intimate partner abuse so that every woman and child can exercise their fundamental human right to be free and safe in their own home.


Domestic Abuse Advocate
Under the Executive Director’s direction and supervision, provide domestic violence survivor advocacy support. Immediate assistance is needed for survivor intake sessions: Note taking, data entry, dissemination of referral information and follow-up calls. Volunteer Advocates may participate in survivor support groups, safety planning, executive summary workshops, court and police station accompaniment, and resource connection services. This volunteer assignment requires state certification in domestic violence advocacy (40-65 hour training) from a domestic violence agency.
