These volunteers are essential to fulfill our mission of empowering students to strengthen academic, physical, and social skills by assisting and tutoring students in the after-school program. Volunteers should always be a patient leader, willing to listen to student’s academic concerns and able to motivate students to focus on their education. This role is essential in the assessment, assistance, and encouragement of the student’s learning processes; thus, we ask volunteers to commit to helping out at the center one day (or more) per week for at least 3 months.
