Special Activities for Employee Groups

Catholic Charities welcomes employee groups - large and small - wishing to combine doing good with team building doing. Consider doing one of our upcoming volunteer events @ www.CatholicCharitiesDC.org/voluntercalendar. Or, we conduct 1-2 weekday activities a month. Contact us @ Volunteer@CC-DC.org with this information: your preferred date, time, number of people in your group (Adults? Children? Students?), special skills or interests you have to share, and anything else that will help us develop a suitable project for you. Let us know if you want to come to us or want to do a project at your location and deliver the results to one of our locations

Examples of recent projects:

• Conduct a Workshop: conduct an employment workshop for participants in one of our programs (bring you laptops to work 1:1 with folks to submit employment applications); conduct a "soft skills" workshop for participants in one of our programs
• Conversations and Games: provide a meal to a small number of people in one of our programs and conduct simple games to get people interacting and engaged (we have ideas!)
• Provide Labor: paint, garden, clean up inside or out
• Collect & Deliver: the people we care for and our programs have a variety of needs - diapers, food, etc. - that you may be able to help us address
• Assemble kits for people in our care: provide the contents for home-care kits for people living in poverty, school kits for recently arrived children, breakfast bags for people who stay in our emergency shelters
• Cards of Caring: write notes to individuals staying in one of our residential programs
