The Iowa Senior Medicare Patrol needs volunteers in the Warren County area to visit with older Iowans about Medicare fraud and the scams that are going on in Central Iowa. Thorough training is provided, and volunteers average two hours per month spent on this activity. More volunteer hours are available upon request. Volunteers educate seniors on how to protect themselves from being a victim of Medicare fraud, identity theft, and falling for one of the terrible scams that steal our money.

Mission Statement

The mission of Aging Resources of Central Iowa is to lead, advocate, and serve as well as plan and coordinate resources in the provision of services to older persons in central Iowa, their families, caregivers, or representatives enabling elders to lead independent, meaningful and dignified lives in the least restrictive environment.

Description

Aging Resources staff advocate, coordinate and provide services through federal, state and private funding to persons 60 years of age and older and their families. Our goal is to allow older adults individual choices in their care process in order to remain safe and independent in their homes.
