The Iowa Senior Medicare Patrol needs volunteers in the Marion County area to help spread the message to older Iowans about Medicare fraud and the scams going on in our area. Volunteers receive thorough training to help educate people about 1) Medicare fraud, errors and abuse, and 2) being alert to identity theft and scam artists. Volunteers spend an average of two hours per month in this activity, but may volunteer more often if desired. Travel mileage outside the home city is reimbursed.

The mission of Aging Resources of Central Iowa is to lead, advocate, and serve as well as plan and coordinate resources in the provision of services to older persons in central Iowa, their families, caregivers, or representatives enabling elders to lead independent, meaningful and dignified lives in the least restrictive environment.

Description

Aging Resources staff advocate, coordinate and provide services through federal, state and private funding to persons 60 years of age and older and their families. Our goal is to allow older adults individual choices in their care process in order to remain safe and independent in their homes.
