Sunday Education volunteers needed for both shifts (9:30am-1:30pm and 1pm-5pm). Please visit https://www.echovermont.org/join-support/volunteer/ for more information!
What do volunteers do at ECHO? Some examples:
Weigh and feed our many species of turtles, including neonates (baby turtles)
Guide kids in exploring the wonders of moose and bears
Connect with the public about important water quality issues in the Lake Champlain Basin
Teach kids to program miniature robots in our Maker Space
Research the behavior of snapping turtles
Participate in delivering seasonal activities designed to enrich science learning in our community

Description
ECHO is a dynamic, nationally acclaimed, science and nature center committed to engaging diverse public audiences and providing experiential, relevant and lifelong educational experiences for all our guests. Founded in 2003, ECHO houses more than 70 species of live animal ambassadors in Vermont’s first LEED certified building. This innovative science center and aquarium displays life in the Champlain Basin and inspires visitors to positively impact the world around them. ECHO is the public face of the Patrick and Marcelle Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, a 2.7 acre environmental campus on the Burlington Waterfront.
