The harvest is finished and the corn is drying down.
Join us in celebrating 2017 with a community meal made from the native dent corn we have been honored to grow the last two years.
We share this corn with the migratory birds that visit the Open Space, we save some to grow out next year and we make it available to our gardening and farming community to use themselves. "Dia de San Juan" grows 10 feet tall with foot long ears
We will shell, winnow, toast, grind, cook and eat the maize together in the Community Garden.
If there is time we will plant garlic or build compost piles.
Bring your friends and family!
