Help make the arts accessible to our community by assisting the Maryland Ensemble Theatre in upholding their COVID-19 policies. As a volunteer in this role, you will be responsible for verifying that patrons show their proof of vaccination and/or negative test results (or a theatre wristband from Maryland Ensemble Theatre, New Spire Arts, or Weinberg Center for the Arts, which means that they have previous have attended a show at one of the theatres and have already been verified. You will also need to remind guests who are not wearing a face mask to wear one and provide one to them if needed. As a volunteer, you will also need to adhere to MET's policy.

COVID Policy Notice: "Beginning September 1st, Maryland Ensemble Theatre will require proof of vaccination (or a negative COVID test w/in 72 hours of attendance) and masking for all indoorevents, subject to change. Please prepare to show your vaccination record and/or proof of testing at the box office upon arrival. You may display a hard copy, or a digital copy.
Vaccination wristbands from other Theater District venues (Weinberg Center For The Arts, New Spire Stages) will be accepted at MET.
Patrons under 12 are not required to show proof of vaccination (or a negative COVID test w/in 72 hours of attendance) but must mask.
The Theater District Vaccination/Masking policy will run through January 1, 2022, at which point venues will assess the need to continue the policy for the safety of all patrons.

MET is dedicated to the creation and production of exceptional theatre art through a diverse ensemble of professional resident artists who are influential leaders in the community and visionaries in the art of theatre. MET creates a positive environment where artists and audience share an extraordinary theatre experience. MET provides theatre students education, training, and professional development opportunities that propagate MET artistic values into the American Theatre.
Description
Professional theatre located in historic downtown Frederick, MD. Our ensemble of 25 actors, directors, writers, musicians, technicians, and designers assist in all areas of MET production and administration. Our facility houses 2 performance spaces: a 100 seat black box theatre and an 70 seat black box that features our Family Theatre and Theatre for Young Audiences programs. In addition, MET features classroom/rehearsal space, a 16 person dressing room, costume shop, scene shop, and box office. Programming includes Mainstage Series, Family Theatre Series, The Comedy Pigs (sketch comedy/improv) and various musical and "MET-X productions and events.
