OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH HOSPICE PAIENTS DIAGNOSED WITH ALZEHEIMER'S DISEASE.
Memories in the Making using painting, crafts, arts.....at patient bedside or in community with other patients.
DUTIES:
Facilitate Arts and Crafts Activities with patients and family members, individual or in group
Companionship and socialization visit with patients/families
Serve as integral member of Hospice Team
Document visits and activities
SKILLS:
Complete application, screening interview, orientation and training
Possess effective communication and listening skills
Meet Screening Criteria of background screening, drug testing

Riverside Community Hospice & Family Care is an ancillary service under HCA Healthcare and is certified by Medicare. Part of the Medicare Conditions of Participation is to offer and provide volunteer services to the terminally ill patients and families that we serve. Volunteer services can be direct (interacting directly with the patient and families) and indirect (working in the office, administrative duties).
Brookdale Hospice provides a comprehensive orientation and training program prior to your volunteer experience. Applicants must complete a background check, drug screen, and TB screening (at the cost of Brookdale Hospice). A full application and reference check will be completed as well.
